Information we collect

To provide our services, we collect information that you explicitly provide to us when you use SocialStudio, including:

  • Account Information: Your email address, username, and authentication details.
  • Social Media Integration: OAuth tokens and profile identifiers provided by platforms like Meta (Facebook/Instagram) to allow us to post on your behalf.
  • Content Data: Drafts, images, and text you upload or generate using our AI tools for the purpose of social media distribution.
  • Engagement Metrics: Basic statistics provided by social platforms to help you track your post performance.

How we use your data

We process your data strictly to provide the core functionality of our app: generating content, scheduling posts, and managing your social media workflows. We do not sell your personal data or use your private content to train general AI models without your explicit consent.

Social Studio for Chrome (browser extension)

The extension works on Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X and LinkedIn. It only sends something to SocialStudio when you ask it to:

  • When you save a post: its link, the caption or text shown on the page, the creator's name and handle, its public counts (views, likes, comments) and its thumbnail — or the text you highlighted.
  • When you use an AI feature: the saved post you run it on, or — for a reply draft — the post you're replying to and anything you've already typed. Drafts are inserted into the page for you to review; the extension never posts, likes or comments for you.
  • Outlier Radar is calculated on your own screen. The view counts it reads are never sent to us.
  • Not collected: your browsing history, pages you don't act on, passwords, or anything from other websites (except a page or text you explicitly save from the right-click menu).
  • Sign-in: the extension signs in with OAuth. Its tokens are kept encrypted in your browser and can only use the extension's own features. You can revoke them any time in Settings → Connected apps.
  • Diagnostics: off by default. If you turn them on, the extension reports anonymous counts (for example "a YouTube button failed to appear"), never page content or links.
The use of information received from the extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We don't sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to train general-purpose AI models.

Security and protection

We use industry-standard encryption (AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit) to protect your sensitive authentication tokens and personal information.

Your rights and data deletion

You have complete control over your data. You can disconnect your social media accounts at any time through your account settings.

How to request data deletion

If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, you can do so directly from our app or by contacting us at [email protected]. Once requested, your data will be permanently removed from our active databases within 30 days.
